One of the focal areas of development for elementary school students is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). At Johnson Elementary School, we seek to recognize, target, and grow the mindset, understanding, and skills for our students to show empathy, form and keep healthy and lifegiving relationships, manage emotions, practice responsible decision-making, and work independently and together to set and achieve goals. One of the many ways we will approach SEL at Johnson is through an online resource called Emotional ABCs.
