Principal's Message

Welcome to Johnson Elementary!

Over the years our school has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School, Texas Honor Roll School, and a Top Ten School by Texas Monthly Magazine. We have received Gold Performance Awards for Academic Excellence in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science, and have been honored as a Title I Distinguished School.  Also, our dual-language program was recognized as a “Best Practice” in the state and the National Center for Educational Achievement (NCEA) recognized Johnson as a higher performing school. All this is not possible without your support at school and at home.

We believe you are the first, most important teacher in your child’s life. That is why we continually solicit your involvement and support. Our goal is to work together with you to provide the best education possible for your child. You may help in a variety of ways: taking time to read information sent home each week, joining the PTO, attending Parent conferences, becoming a school volunteer (VIP), serving as a tutor for a child, sharing your special talents with us, or just visiting our school regularly to get to know us better and be a visible support to your child.

We look forward to working with you to make this a very special year for your child(ren). If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to call us at 979-209-1460.

Respectfully,

Carol Happ
