Ms. Hancock began her career in Bryan ISD in 1995 as a fourth grade teacher at Crockett Elementary, one semester before graduating from Texas A&M. In 2001 she was hired to teach a split class of Kindergarten and First Grade at Johnson Elementary and she has been a Johnson Jaguar ever since. All four of Ms. Hancock's children attended Johnson and BISD secondary schools.
When given the opportunity to move into the art room and teach every Johnson Jaguar, Ms. Hancock didn't give it a second thought. One of her greatest joys is seeing generations of students excited to get their hands dirty while finding comfort and self-worth in the creative process.
Ms. Hancock spends her summers traveling the US as a trainer/consultant with the Flippen Group and Capturing Kids' Hearts, and playing with her growing band of grandkids!
